The determination of cholesterol is greatly important because high concentrations this biomarker are associated to heart disease. Moreover, can be used as a fuel in enzymatic cells operating under physiological conditions. Here, we present biosensor and peroxide-free biofuel cell based on the electrocatalytic oxidation NADH generated during reaction dehydrogenase (ChDH) an alternative H2O2 biosensing strategies with oxidase-bioelectrodes. Azure A functionalized-carbon nanodots were electrocatalysts for ChDH covalent immobilization. responded linearly up 1.7 mM good sensitivity (4.50 mA cm−2 M−1) at low potential. bioelectrode was combined O2-reducing bilirubin oxidase cathode produce electrical energy using O2 oxidant.
